Allow your guests to stream their content wirelessly to the TV in the room easily and in HD quality. Whilst a number of solutions have appeared from hospitality technology providers, only AppleTV allows the playback of iTunes DRM protected content. iTunes is still the largest ecosystem of content in the world and is consumed by more users than on any other platform available today.
However, Apple’s easy to use functionality causes a problem in the hotel. It announces itself across the network. In fact every Apple TV in every room would try and make itself available to one and all. RoomNetTV’s RNTV VLAN on demand solution solves this problem.
RoomNetTV were appointed to design, implement and support the network infrastructure, WiFi and of course the Apple TV installation at the new Staybridge Suites Hotel in Vauxhall. Working alongside Airwave Europe, who installed their Samsung LyncSink TV solution.
Every room has a Ruckus 7055 in-room access point, with the rest of the property utilising Ruckus’ new ‘ac’ rated technology, delivering fast, stable WiFi to the guests and ensuring that guests streaming is in real time, even when mirroring apps from their iOS device.
The result is an easy to use system that empowers the guest to watch their own content, play their games, use their apps but on the 40” LED TV in the room. It supports movies, music & photo streaming from Android devices with the ability to also mirror app’s and games from any Airplay compatible iOS device like iPad or iPhone.
